Annette & Adam

28 June, 2025 · Pembroke College, Oxford, UK

Please join us on 28th June, 2025, as we celebrate our wedding in Oxford.

Annette’s Story

Annette grew up in Korb near Stuttgart in Germany. She loves dancing, playing the flute, and travelling around the world. She now lives in Oxford and works as Associate Professor in Global Security.

Adam’s Story

Adam was born in the North East of England and loves parties, adventure and mischief. He now lives in Oxford and works in Computational Biology at the university.

Our Relationship

We met in 2022, in Oxford. Our first date was spent walking around the University Park chatting for 3 hours before Annette left late to meet her friends. We hit it off immediately, bonding over our love of science and politics. We had a magical time together during our first year of dating, and we both knew it was time to move in together. We got engaged in December 2023, had our civil marriage in March 2024, were joined by our little Schatz in April 2024 - and now we're celebrating our wedding!

What else to know

🎉 Planning a surprise or fun activity?

If you'd like to organise a game, performance, or surprise for the wedding couple, please get in touch with the bride’s brother, Stefan Idler, who is kindly coordinating all activities:

📧 sidler@mulchprod.de

👶 For our tiniest guests:
We’ve arranged travel cots in a quiet room adjacent to the dinner and dancefloor so they can snooze peacefully while their parents enjoy the party. 💃🍼

Taxis

As the majority of guests aren’t staying overnight at the hotel, please find arrangements for taxi pickups in the evening:

  • Before Midnight: Taxis can be ordered via reception and will arrive at the main entrance.

  • After Midnight: We'd prefer taxis (including Ubers) to use the back entrance near the tea and coffee station, to minimise disruption to leisure guests.

Music wishes

Please suggest some music choices to dance the night away! Tell us the song and artist.
